Viva Las Vegas!

So, Will and I finally made our way to the infamous city of sin.  First, let me tell you how it started. We were about an hour outside of Vegas when we heard a “POP”!!!!!  Will and I looked at each other thinking, “Great, I think we might have a flat”.  We pulled over and Will got out to investigate.  Well, we didn’t have a flat tire.  When he came back to the car, I asked him if everything was OK.  In a very “Will” way, he says, “nope”.  He proceeds to tell me that one of the airbags on the suspension had exploded.  That isn’t supposed to happen…ever.  It’s a good thing we were less than an hour from our destination since we were basically riding on the rails of the truck.  Ok people, riding in a Ford F-350 with a suspension is bumpy. Riding with NO suspension is ridiculous!!! Seriously, the puppies were looking up at us as if to say, “Please make it stop…”.

So, an hour later we very bumpily cruise into the RV park.  We had plans to stay for 2 weeks, but Will had to work for a while and we were kinda stuck there because of the truck anyway. Of course, an air ride suspension isn’t exactly common for a personal vehicle so there really wasn’t anyone we could call to have it fixed.  We just had to wait for Will to have some time off so he could fix it.  We also had to wait for the new airbag to be delivered from Canada.  If y’all remember we took a little trip to Canada last Fall to have this super awesome air-ride suspension installed.  We extended our stay for another month.  I was totally fine with staying at this place since it had a pool, gym, golf area, and a decent restaurant. 🙂  So, I spent literally everyday in the gym and almost everyday in the beautiful pool.  For those of you who know me pretty well, you know that I LOVE water so yes, I was in heaven for about 7 weeks.

This was my happy place…

Will finally has a minute.  Even if it was literally a min, I think he enjoyed it.  🙂

I was hitting an average of 13,000 steps/day, too!  Woohoo!!!!  Go me!

Woohoo!  My feet were very sore after this…lol

Will and me at The Hitchin’ Post Saloon…I think.

I’ll try to refrain.  😀

I know what you’re thinking.  Of course we actually saw Vegas…eventually.  It only took us 6 weeks to see the strip and Fremont Street.  So, as y’all probably know, Will and I aren’t drinkers or gamblers, but we do enjoy shows.  We saw two Cirque du Soleil shows and a Vegas type show.  Love! The Beatles was really fun!  Michael Jackson One was incredible! The Vegas show was…good-ish.  We spent a few days walking the strip.  One day was a step record for me…33,000!  We spent an evening on Fremont Street.  Ok, now THAT was cool!  I think we enjoyed that more than the strip.  We also thought about zip lining over Fremont Street but it was an hour wait and we had to get back to the furbabies.  We’ve been on a zip line before, so it wasn’t too disappointing that we didn’t do that. 🙂

We saw a lot of drunk people, which is always entertaining.  I even got a pic with two drunk guys.  Will and I were just walking by after seeing LOVE! The Beatles and these guys asked if I would get in the picture with them.  I must look friendly. hahahahaha

Check it out —————>

As much as we just loved going into all of the hotels, the one thing we definitely did NOT enjoy is the cigarette smoke in every casino!  I repeat…EVERY CASINO!  It was terrible.  We’d walk through holding our breath the entire time.  Wow!  I’m so glad we didn’t stay in a hotel.  Now, some hotels were stinkier than others, but they all had that nasty odor.  Also, since marijuana is now legal in Nevada, that smell wafted around the entire strip and Fremont St.  I must say it isn’t the most pleasant experience when you’re not a drinker and/or smoker.  However, that isn’t to say we didn’t have a good time.  Will and I always have a great time together. We have always enjoyed each other’s company, which is awesome since we’re married and spend every day together. 😉

Enjoy the photos of our Vegas adventure!!!

As awesome as Vegas is, I am not sure either one of us is ever going back.  It was an experience, for sure, but just not for us.  I guess we shouldn’t ever say never, but I believe it would be highly unlikely.
